Arab Regimes Complicit In Israeli Starvation And Genocide In Gaza

The news from Gaza cannot but cause numbness in any person with even an iota of conscience. Every day brings more horrors from the besieged enclave where the zionist occupation army and airforce perpetrate the coldblooded murder of innocent Palestinian children, women and the elderly every day.

On August 25, Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis was deliberately hit with missiles, not once but twice. The aim was to cause maximum casualties. They achieved their purpose. At least 20 people were killed in the hospital including five journalists, raising the total number of journalists killed in Gaza to 245 since October 2023.

These journalists must not become another statistics. They were human beings reporting from the war zone. It was their job. The zionists are deliberately killing journalists because they do not want their crimes to be reported to the outside world.

For the record, the journalists killed on August 25 were: Hossam El-Masry (photographer for Reuters), Mohamed Salama (photojournalist for Al Jazeera), Mariam Abu Daqqa (freelance journalist for Associated Press and Independent Arabia), Moaz Abu Taha (freelance journalist for NBC News), and Ahmed Abu Aziz (worked for several media outlets such as Middle East Eye and Tunisian radio Diwan FM).

In the same 24-hour period (August 25-26), at least 58 Palestinians were killed and 308 others injured. Famine also caused 11 deaths in Gaza in the same period. On August 22, 2025, the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) formally declared famine conditions in the occupied Gaza Strip.

The UN emergency relief coordinator, Tom Fletcher, said that over half a million people are now suffering from catastrophic hunger. This figure will rise to 641,000 in September unless the aid situation improves, highly unlikely given the genocidal maniacs in power in the zionist colonial entity.

The IPC is a global coalition of UN agencies and humanitarian organizations. It described the famine “entirely man-made” and a “direct result of apartheid Israel’s 22-month-long indiscriminate military offensive”, effectively linking starvation to deliberate restrictions and blockades.

Despite the killing of journalists, much of the world is aware of zionist perpetrated crimes in Gaza. So are the western regimes that continue to utter vacuous statements to assuage the rising public anger in their societies. They also periodically call on Israel to stop killing Plestinians through starvation yet continue to supply weapons to the zionist killing machine.

It is unrealistic to expect western rulers to stop Israel from killing Palestinians or starving them to death. The zionists are their kith and kin. Throughout history, the collective west has perpetrated horrific genocides in Africa, Asia, North and South America and Australia. Killing people of colour is in their genes.

But what about the Muslim regimes, especially the Arab regime that have borders with Palestine? Why are they not helping the Palestinians to defend themselves against the zionists’ barbarous onslaught?

The Arabian rulers—not one is legitimately in power—have aligned themselves with the zionists and their American backers. They would rather see the Palestinians wiped out than continue to have to face incessant criticism from their own irate subjects. The regimes in Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar etc are all complicit in the genocide of the Palestinians.

Let us recall that zionist Jews residing in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, South Africa etc are free to go to occupied Palestine and indulge in the killing of Palestinians. They come and go freely without being apprehended or put on trial for participating in genocide. The regimes in Europe, North and South America and South Africa have laws that prohibit such recruitment yet when it comes to zionist Israel, they turn a blind eye.

There is little doubt that the Palestinians’ suffering—their killing due to starvation or bombs and missiles—has had a profound impact on Muslims worldwide. Millions would willingly go to Palestine to assist their brothers and sisters there. So, what is holding them back?

The regimes that have borders with Palestine not only refuse to send their own forces to help the Palestinians, they also prevent Muslims from other places to do so. Consider this. If 10 million Muslims from around the world were to march to the borders of Rafah, Jordan or Syria, assuming the regimes there would allow them, they could have a major impact.

True, the zionist war criminals will unleash their fire power but there is little doubt that such a large number of Muslims could overpower the zionists. The two billion strong Muslims must confront the bitter reality that the rulers in Muslim lands are agents of zionism and imperialism, that is kufr and oppression. That is why they remain silent in the face of such barbarism and atrocities.

These rulers may have Muslim names but they have nothing to do with Islam. They are absolute hypocrites and a blot on the name of Islam. Muslims must draw appropriate lessons from the horrors being visited upon the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

The least the Muslims can do is to besiege the zionist embassies in their countries and prevent any food, water or other goods being delivered to them. Companies that supply such material to the zionists should refuse to do so. The zionists should be made to feel the deprivation that they are inflicting on the two million Palestinians in Gaza.

Countries like Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Turkey, Morocco, Sudan and South Africa readily come to mind. Even if Muslims cannot physically go to Palestine, they can do their part in their own countries.

Is that too much to ask?
