Thank you for the thought-provoking article “Clarity of Thought essential for Muslims” (CI, November 2019). Most Muslims suffer from mental slavery and are unable to think for themselves. That is why they are unable to progress. Those Muslims — Islamic Iran, for instance — that have broken the chains of slavery have made notable progress despite being subjected to illegal sanctions.
