Egypt may yet take its rightful place in the Muslim world after the election of Mohamed Mursi as president.

You say that Egypt under Ikhwan al-Muslimoon is heading in the right direction. True, President Mursi has made the right statements but it may be too early to celebrate. We have seen Turkey under Prime Minister Recep Tayip Erdogan. He won praise from Muslims worldwide for walking out on Shimon Peres at the Davos summit meeting in January 2009 over Israel’s attack on Gaza. Look what he is doing now?
