Letters To The Editor

The people of Syria are gradually waking up to the reality of foreign-sponsored terrorist groups bent on wrecking their country. Their foreign sponsors also stand exposed.

Crescent International is perhaps the only Islamic publication that is able to present a clear and accurate picture of what is taking place in Syria. My friends and I always turn to the Crescent for understanding of world affairs including events in Syria. Many Muslims unfortunately have a very naïve view of what is going on. For them, the situation is black-and-white. Their argument runs like this: Bashar al-Asad is ‘Alawite, therefore he is bad and so is his regime. He is not as unpopular as the rebels and their Western-backed media outlets present.

The dirtiest role in this whole affair is played by the Qatari-owned al-Jazeera. He is no democrat nor is he about to give his people the right to vote. The other backer of the Syrian rebels is the House of Saud. How come the Saudis are so keen to have democracy in Syria but won’t grant even basic rights to their own people? It is said people are known by the company they keep. If the Syrian rebels have such friends, nothing good would emerge if they were to come to power.
