The takfiris are exposing their demonic ideology of hate and killings in Syria. Egged on by the court ulama of Saudi Arabia, they recently beheaded three Christians including a priest in the western city of Homs. The video makes gruesome viewing and would send shudder down the spine of any human being. 15-year-old Mohammad Qataa (left) was shot in the face and killed on June 9 after an argument with a takfiri terrorist.

A horrific video (http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=7ba_1372272716) in which the takfiri rebels in Syria behead three Christians including a priest has emerged on the Internet. The gruesome video was posted online recently showing thick bearded men brandishing AK-47s holding three blindfolded men in custody. The takfiris are believed to be members of al-Nusra Front that has been involved in other barbaric practices as well.

The brutal beheadings occurred in the western city of Homs. Before the animal-like slaughter of the captives occurred—they had their hands and feet tied and blindfolded—a thick set man, believed to be the commander, ranted about what they were involved in. Amid shouts of “Allahu Akbar”, he then handed a knife to one of his men ordering him to cut the captive’s head by slitting his throat. The first captive was pulled to the ground (they were all leaning on the ground because of the manner in which they were tied). The captive fell on the ground face down. His body was turned over face up and while three or four men held him tight so that his body would not writhe as his throat was slit, the butcher went about his grisly task.

As the knife cut into the captive’s throat, blood gushed out. The killer continued with his grisly task as if he were slaughtering some sacrificial animal. It was horrible and shocking yet the killer went about his job to cut the captive’s neck until the head was completely separated from the body. He then lifted the head aloft to show it to the crowd as if it were some kind of a trophy. The crowd responded with shouts of “Allahu Akbar.”

The head was placed on a plastic sheet on the ground while the second captive was pulled down for the same macabre slaughter ritual. The priest, who had been kidnapped earlier, was identified as Father Francois Murad, patron of the Sumaan al-Amoudi Monastry. The Syrian Orthodox Bishop confirmed that Father Francois Murad, 49, was one of the victims of the brutal killings.

Beheadings, torture and killings by takfiris that have flooded into Syria from different parts of the world have increased. Those killed do not have to be guilty of anything. They could be killed if they belong to a wrong religion—Christians, Alawites etc—or belong to an area the takfiris consider to be supporters of Asad’s government, or captured Syrian soldiers.

This is not the first time that the US-Saudi-backed terrorists have committed such grisly crimes against innocent civilians in the war-torn country. On June 9, the takfiri terrorists shot and killed a 15-year-old boy after he got into an argument at a coffee stall in the Sh’ar neighbourhood of Aleppo. Mohammad Qataa was ordered by one of the takfiri thugs to serve coffee to his colleague. The boy refused saying I will not do it even if “Muhammad (saws) came from Heaven.”

This sent the takfiris into a fit of rage. Qataa was kidnapped and returned later with clear signs of torture. He had been lashed with a whip. Then one of the takfiri terrorists stood in front of the crowd and declared: “Generous citizens of Aleppo, disbelieving in God is polytheism and cursing the prophet is polytheism. Whoever curses even once will be punished like this.” The boy was then shot in the face and neck as his distraught parents looked on, their pleas for mercy totally ignored. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a pro-rebel group, was forced to admit to the gruesome killing of the 15-year-old boy.

Blasphemy indeed is a crime in Islam but the question is who has the authority to administer such punishment: thugs brandishing AK-47s or a properly constituted court with legal safeguards? Besides, all the circumstances have to be taken into account and in this case, almost certainly the boy would not have been punished because he was involved in an argument. But the takfiris believe they can kill anyone on whatever pretext because they have the power to do so.

In March, the takfiris beheaded Shaykh Hassan Saif al-Deen in the same city, Aleppo. His decapitated body was then dragged in the streets. In May, Abu Sakkar, a takfiri commander, ripped open the body of a Syrian soldier and chewed on his heart in a throwback to the days of jahiliya before Islam.

The killing of Christians has sent shockwaves among sincere and committed Muslims who know that Islam does not permit such conduct. Even if Muslims have disagreement or argument with people of other faiths, they are instructed to do so in the most polite manner (Al-Qur’an 16:125), not slaughter them as if they are animals. The takfiris follow a bizarre ideology that has been imported into Syria from the medieval kingdom of Saudi Arabia where the court ulama indulge in all kinds of un-Islamic conduct but encourage their followers to kill fellow Muslims or non-Muslims (Christians) if they disagree with them.

The takfiris have shown by their own conduct that they have little or nothing to do with Islam. In fact and their enablers should be put trial for war crimes, the sooner the better. And Muslims everywhere should denounce them for what they are: beasts that do not represent Islam or Muslims.
