Since December 28, there have been sporadic protests in different cities of Iran over rising prices.
They started in the Tehran Bazaar, a traditional stronghold of the Islamic system.
The rapid depreciation in the value of the local currency rial was the primary cause.
Iran’s currency is manipulated by external players—primarily the US—through its illegal sanctions regime.
Billions of dollars of Iranian income from oil sales and other goods are frozen in foreign banks.
Since Iran has to import many vital goods, this negatively affects the value of its currency.
This has been a long-standing policy of the US and its allies.
They want Iran’s currency to collapse so that people would be so frustrated that they will rise up against the government.
While ordinary people are affected, they do not want to overthrow the government or the Islamic system.
They have seen what happened to countries like Iraq, Libya and Syria when the US intervened.
They do not wish to be ‘liberated’ by the Americans or the zionists who launched a vicious war against the Islamic Republic last June killing more than 1,000 Iranians, most of them civilians.
In response to people’s genuine concerns, the government has taken immediate steps to address them.
Multiple exchange rates have been eliminated. Subsidies were deposited directly into people’s accounts to enable them to cope with rising prices.
Always on the lookout for such opportunities, terrorists backed by the CIA and Mossad went into action.
They started attacking public and private properties.
Police stations, police vehicles, fire trucks, private cars and motorcycles were set on fire.
The security forces responded with extreme caution, not falling into the terrorists’ trap.
They made a clear distinction between those involved in legitimate protests—which the government repeatedly emphasized it respected—and the terrorist acts.
Hundreds of terrorists have been arrested and will be tried in a court of law.
Both American and Israeli officials exposed themselves by stating that they were backing the terrorists.
Western media outlets also went into high gear amplifying the protests.
Hundreds of thousands of people came out in Isfahan in support of the Islamic Republic on January 11 but this found no space in western media outlets.
Living in their own echo chamber, the western media has “predicted” the imminent collapse of the Islamic system of government.
This has been their modus operadi for nearly 47 years.
Every time there are protests in Iran, western media outlets immediately declare that the government is about to collapse.
This has not happened in 47 years and it will not happen this time either.
President Masoud Pezeshkian said that government officials were meeting with traders’ representatives and others to find solutions to the problems.
He warned the rioters, however, that their terrorist acts will not be tolerated.
The Rahbar, Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei, also condemned the recent violent acts that resulted in widespread destruction of public property.
He warned against unrest driven by foreign agendas and calling on the people to preserve national unity.
Throughout Iran, people have gathered in mosques to support the Islamic Republic.
The CIA-Mossad-backed terrorists attacked them inside the mosques.
January 12 has been declared a day of solidarity of the people.
They have been asked to come out with copies of the Qur’an to show support for the Islamic Republic and to demonstrate their unity.
Reaffirming Iran’s political and ideological steadfastness, Imam Khamenei said, “Everyone knows that Iran will not retreat one bit from its principles,” stressing that pressure, threats, or unrest would not force Tehran to abandon its core positions.
He added that “the Iranian people reject subservience and agents,” stressing that acts of violence are detached from the will of the broader population.
The Rahbar was specific.
He pointed out that “a number of rioters are trying to please the US president by destroying public property.”
Addressing the US President Donald Trump directly, Imam Khamenei told him to focus on the problems facing his own country instead of interfering in Iran’s internal affairs.
This was most clearly reflected in the manner in which the 37-year-old mother of three young children, Renee Nicole Good was shot twice in the face by ICE agents in Minneapolis and murdered.
ICE is described by many observers as Trump’s private militia whose primary task is to terrorise the American people into submission.
Some people describe Trump as a “mad man”.
That is an inaccurate description because it would let him off the hook too easily.
He is a terrorist and should be treated as such.
Trump is threatening to attack Iran.
This is not only illegal, it would constitute a war crime.
It is his zionist master, the indicted war criminal Benjamin Mileikowsky (aka Netanyahu), who has ordered Trump to carry out this dastardly crime.
Starting with the false flag operation of 911, every war the US has launched has been instigated by the zionist war criminals.
The latest Netanyahu plot is to push Trump into attacking Iran.
This exposes Israel’s weakness: it is incapable attacking Iran on its own.
Netanyahu wants the US to wage its dirty war for him.
The indicted war criminal faces a number of corruption and bribery charges at home.
He is desperately trying to wriggle out of them by instigating endless wars.
Should Trump commit this blunder, he and the American soldiers will face a fate worse than what they faced in Afghanistan from where they fled in the middle of the night on August 30-31, 2021.
The Islamic Republic has made it absolutely clear that if it is attacked, it will hit both American bases in the region and the zionist entity.
Iran is quite capable of doing so. Let there be no doubt in anyone’s mind about it.
