NATO, which stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization, was created to confront the challenge posed by Warsaw Pact countries led by the erstwhile Soviet Union during the Cold War. The Soviet Union is no more; ditto Warsaw Pact countries, so what purpose does NATO serve now? It should have been disbanded when the Cold War ended. The warlords in America and Europe want this military alliance to continue so that they can create global instability to sell more weapons. Shame on them.
