The Zionist occupation regime continued with its barbarous policy of causing death and destruction in the besieged Gaza Strip.

In the missile and aerial attacks on the tiny enclave on March 25, the Zionists destroyed 30 houses completely and caused damage to 500 others.

Damage was estimated at $2 million. This is an incredibly high cost for the tiny enclave whose two million plus inhabitants are totally besieged and virtually on the verge of starvation.

The Anadolu Agency, quoting Palestinian officials on March 28, said “Thirty housing units worth a total of $1.5 million were totally destroyed, while 500 others worth about $500,000 were partially damaged.”

Naji Sarhan, undersecretary of Gaza’s Public Works and Housing Ministry, revealed this while speaking to reporters in Gaza City.

As a result of their houses being destroyed, hundreds of Palestinians have been rendered homeless. This is collective punishment that is prohibited under international law.

The Zionist colonial settler entity, however, gets away with such crimes because it has the backing of virtually the entire Western world.

The Zionist regime claimed it was retaliating against two missiles fired from the Gaza Strip that reportedly damaged seven houses near Tel Aviv. The disporportionality of Zionist violence is self-evident.

Meanwhile the situation on the Zionist occupied West Bank is no different.

In a pre-dawn raid on the Bheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem on March 27, Zionist occupation forces shot an 18-year-old paramedic Sajed Abed al-Hakim Mizher in the stomach. He died of his injuries in hospital.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) strongly condemned the killing of volunteer paramedic, according to a report by Ma’an News.

Meanwhile, a video of heavily-armed Zionist soldiers arresting a 10-year-old Palestinian child from school has gone viral. The teachers desperately pleaded with the Zionist thugs not to arrest the traumatized child, but to no avail.

An estimated 1,000 children are arrested by the Zionist occupiers each year. These children become highly traumatized and some even suffer mental breakdown.

The Zionists subject children to physical and mental torture.

Palestinians, especially in the besieged Gaza Strip have been holding the Great March of Return rallies since March 30, 2018.

On March 30, 2019, it will be exactly one year since these rallies were launched.

Peace and justice loving people worldwide will be holding rallies to commemorate one year of the Great March of Return rallies.

A huge rally is planned on Saturday March 30 opposite the US Consulate in Toronto.
