There is urgent need for Muslims to develop their own media but it would not come about through the Muslim regimes.

The manner in which Western media feeds lies to people makes it imperative for Muslims to develop their own media platforms. Unfortunately the so-called Muslim regimes will not do it. They are only interested in projecting their “national” interests and do not care for truth. Al-Jazeera and al-Arabiya are good examples. PressTV would be good if it improved its standard. Muslims worldwide should mobilize resources — financial, intellectual and others — to help magazines like Crescent develop a global television platform. Only then would we be able to compete on the world stage.
