Muslims must prioritize Support for the Islamic Movement in Palestine

Muslims are in a world of sacrifice.

The words of Allah’s Prophet to the family of Yasir are self-explanatory: “Be steadfast, O family of Yasir, for your recompense is Paradise” ( صبرًا آل ياسرٍ، فإنَّ موعدَكم الجنةُ)

Everything that is in the temporary possession of a Muslim should be expendable for Allah.

Yet the cruel capitalist system is so pervasive that even Muslims think and live within its framework.

Muslims would do well to visit Economics 101 where they could learn something about opportunity cost.

In its simplest form, it is defined as the loss of other alternatives when one alternative is chosen.

Take the case of the Global Sumud Flotilla that included many sincere Muslims.

A call to raise €1.2 million (euros) via crowd funding was made.

Within a few days, 68,433 people had responded.

The amount of €3,209,210 was raised for the flotilla.

Countless other people funded it privately.

The cost to hire a basic boat from Turkey is €700 per person per day.

Figures related to Spain, Italy, Tunisia, Morocco and Greece are similar.

Applying that cost per day to 500 people over 34 days, and it totals €12 million.

Adding the costs of flights to the various ports and other associated costs would raise this amount further, not to mention non-financial considerations.

Sincere Muslims should ask whether the zionist entity has ever allowed any aid flotilla to reach Gaza?

All past flotillas have been attacked in international waters and the food and medicines they were carrying were stolen by the zionists.

Consider what a difference may have resulted had this amount been given to the Ansarallah of Yemen to militarily stop any vessel in the Red Sea destined for Israel, the colonial-cum-genocidal entity.

Another factor to consider is the presence of self-serving, unsavory persons, agents and spies who were on-board the flotilla.

Some of these self-serving made for camera fake pro-Palestine activists on the flotilla put on regalia of their fake formations and fly their national flags.

Usually, any struggle would require a leader/leadership that represents the aspirations of the oppressed people whose cause is being advocated.

Yet, rarely do we find these self-serving pro-Palestine activists don the regalia of the martyred leaders.

During the struggle against Apartheid, people, especially in South Africa, were adamant about identifying a face and a name.

They would put the face of Mandela on their T-shirts as an icon of the struggle.

The struggle for Palestine in recent times has been marginalized and the plight of participants on the flotilla has become the central issue.

Not only have people resuscitated the inappropriate equating of pre-1994 Apartheid South Africa with zionist Israel but some have even gone further with their narrative by equating the incarceration of Mandela senior with the interception/“abduction” and detention of Mandela junior.

For all of Israel’s barbarity and genocide, it has not detained flotilla activists for any extended periods notwithstanding the murder of 10 Turkish citizens on the Mavi Marmara in May 2010.

Despite being subjected to harsh Israeli mistreatment—nothing new here—most

pro-Palestine activists have been deported or would be released soon.

Yet it boggles the mind to think how many Muslims prefer to support dead-end pursuits and fake pro-Palestine activists who are distracting from the real issue.

For psychological warfare purposes, even Israel plays along with this fakery when it claims that it is harmed by passive resistance.

Yet passive resistance does not threaten the existence of Israel.

A few words also need to be said pertaining to some persons who have been associated with the Global Sumud Flotilla.

The one person whose name has appeared in almost every article written about the Flotilla has been built up by the western capitalist system.

Greta Thunberg ever since her days as a young child has been polished and presented as the savior of the world.

She has been abused by global capitalist institutions to usher in the climate agenda.

She has been given a platform amidst global audiences at the World Economic Forum, Davos, at the Cop26 Conference a day after G20 summit, the United Nations climate agenda, etc.

All her activism which culminated in her being awarded the Ambassador of Conscience Award has been funded by major global capitalists and is definitely not grassroots.

This award put her in the league of Mandela senior.

Similarly, Mandela junior’s mission in life appears to be to perpetuate the legacy of Mandela senior, who recognized Israel.

Mandela senior granted colonial exceptionalism to Jews when he said “he understands the Jewish community’s commitment to Israel…”

He went further and said “he recognizes the right to existence of the State of Israel, along with the right of Palestinians to live in their own homeland.”

This echoed Arthur Balfour who had said “His Majesty’s Government view with favor the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use their best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.”

The Nelson Mandela Foundation, established to keep the legacy of Mandela senior alive is a project that has been sponsored by a number of global zionist-cum-capitalist organisations and their foundations!

This is apparent from the plaque in the reception hallway.

In its gallery and exhibitions, this foundation displays pictures of Mandela senior meeting many world leaders but not a single picture of Mandela senior alongside any Palestinian leader!

Similarly, there are statements reminding visitors to the foundation of the contributions of Israel towards ending pre-1994 Apartheid but no mention is made regarding the contributions of Palestine towards ending pre-1994 Apartheid.

A good place for Mandela Junior to focus his anti-zionism efforts would be at the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

It is worth mentioning that at the official send off for South Africans joining/boarding the flotilla from Johannesburg/Zoo Lake, many Yahudis as well as pro-ISIS groups featured prominently.

Their role in sabotaging authentic anti-zionist activism in South Africa will be exposed in a future article, insha’Allah.

It is time for Muslims to realize that any activity that does not align with the Islamic armed resistance to dismantle the zionist cancer is fake and a distraction.

In fact, by emphasizing the need for passive resistance, these pro-Palestine activists are subliminally contributing to the demands of Israel, the United Nations, BRICS, the Arab League/Organisation of Islamic Conference, etc. for the Islamic Resistance in Palestine and Lebanon to be disarmed.

If these fake pro-Palestine activists had any integrity, and seeing the failure of the latest flotilla to achieve its stated objective, they would immediately issue a statement supporting not only the right of the Islamic Resistance to carry arms, but the right of all resistance groups to be armed.

But sadly, this situation has become so ridiculous that one could predict without fear of contradiction that even if Israel bombed the flotilla to smithereens (Allah forbid), these pro-Palestine activists will still say “we are peaceful, non-violent followers of Gandhi.”

And say “Truth and justice have come and lies and injustice have been eliminated: by its nature lies and injustice are bound to be eliminated” (The Ascendant Qur’an, Surat Al Isra’, verse 81).
