Letters To The Editor

by Muslim Mahmood (Letters To The Editor, Crescent International Vol. 46, No. 7, Dhu al-Hijjah, 1438)

As the last and final communication to all humanity from our Rabb (Lord and Sustainer), Allah (swt), the Qur’an needs to be properly understood for us to implement it. The Ascendant Qur’an: Realigning Man to the Divine Power Culture is a highly recommended tafsir of the 21st century and beyond. This is a great opportunity to understand the final Scripture, a guide to humanity, a powerful exegesis in the clearest of modern contemporary terms, and a narrative wonder of the Criterion (al-furqan). The Ascendant Qur’an demands continuous reading to understand the exposition of the commands of Allah.

Nearly 12 volumes have been completed — to inspire a better understanding, more comprehension of Arabic and English terms, better articulation of the message, and appreciation of the guidance of our Creator-Sustainer. To further grasp the beauty of the English rendering of the Arabic text, I proudly quote from The Ascendant Qur’an as inscribed for eternity on lawhun mahfuΩ (the Well-Guarded Tablet), “Nay, but this [divine Writ that they reject] is a discourse sublime, upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]” (85:21–22), p. xiii, Volume 1. Also a quote of societal behavior from a lesson about the Yuhudi mentality, “Trials and tribulations are not chance episodes in the lives of societies. They are meant to bring a society back to its Sustainer” (Volume 1, p. 170). Ma sha’allah for such a blessing (the tafsir).
