After reading the book, Power Manifestations of the Sirah, this reader feels a sequel dealing with the time of the Khulafa ar-Rashidoon is needed.

“Power is the domain of Allah (swt); He grants it to whom He wills. Yielding to that reality is the domain of man. Guidance — the discipline to exercise power — comes from Allah (swt), and obedience comes from man.” (p. 305). I just finished reading the book, Power Manifestations of the Sirah, al-hamdulillah. I always comment and highlight when reading books. My last comment was “Wallahi!” to your last paragraph which is a prayer for the Ummah testifying that you are absolutely correct and by reference the whole analysis and discussion.

My review and suggestion is: this book gave an account and analysis of how the Islamic state was established. It is a submerging narration and a gripping analysis. Those with a purpose in life to bring truth, justice and fairness to humanity ought to read it. We need a sequel. Al-Khilafah al-Rashidah (Imam Hasan (ra) included) should give an account and analysis of how the Islamic state was administered. The title can be Al-Khilafah al-Rashidah: The Principled Power Culture and Its Governance (pp. 218–19).
