It is not only distressing but disgusting that the Canadian government refuses to stand up for one of its own citizens.

Omar Khadr has languished in Guantanamo Bay for nearly a decade. He was forced into a plea deal that the Canadian government signed on to, yet Ottawa is refusing to honor it. Is it because Khadr is non-white and Muslim? Is Islamophobia now official Canadian policy?
