Sometimes Muslims are at a loss for words when it comes to describing the information gap in the minds of many commentators and analysts.
And along come Muslims, suffering from an inferiority complex, to offer a lame solution: the Unification of Africa along Pan-African lines.
There can be no doubt that there are some benefits of such an outcome.
Yet, the solution is severely restrictive, even selective, in its choice of beneficiaries.
A thorough study between Islam and the various strains of Africanism or Pan-Africanism would make for a useful doctoral dissertation.
Let us be clear, the Ba‘thi ideology of Pan-Arabianism is not Islamic.
Similarly, the ideology of Pan-Africanism is not Islamic.
Any and all nationalisms be they Persian, Arabian, African, Asian et al are against Islam.
To paraphrase an extremely deep discourse, (from a manuscript of one of my beloved teachers, (may Allah bring his work to fruition)), humankind is now in the third period of history.
The first period was the personal one: the Adamic era.
The second period was the nationalist one: the Isra’eli or Judaic era.
The third period of human history is the universalist one: the Arabic or the Islamic era.
The use of the word Arabic here is not synonymous with the word Arabian.
Arabian being ethnic, nationalistic, tribal and even racialist-cum-racist would be more in tune with the second period.
Pan-Africanism cannot unite Africa.
The ideology itself is at odds with Islam.
This ideological variance does not provide any pretext for conflict.
In Africa, the Muslim population approaches 500 million.
Ninety percent are located geographically in North Africa.
Their ideology is significantly different from Pan-Africanism.
These Muslims also have different political ideologies, doctrinaire differences and jurisprudential interpretations.
In other words, they belong to a combination of different schools of thought.
Their differences have been exaggerated to the extent of rendering them divided people.
Such divisions have been exploited by the zionists and imperialists to destabilize parts of North Africa.
Notwithstanding these differences and divisions, the Muslims in Africa are a sizeable and critical building bloc for unity in Africa.
More accurately, the Muslims in Africa are a sizeable and critical building bloc for coherence, harmony and mutual co-operation in Africa against a common enemy, viz. the zionist and imperialists.
The unity of Africa is dependent on the unity of Muslims.
This has been another dismal failure, thus far.
In Africa, the zionists and imperialists are playing a long, dangerous and dirty game.
From behind the scenes, they are reigniting the horrors of Darfur using their strategic assets.
Recall the early years of the twenty first century when the crisis in Darfur began.
The crisis was engineered to weaken the central government in Khartoum, with all its faults, and provide the pretext for the eventual dismemberment of the country.
Back in those days, as far as the zionist-imperialist narrative was concerned, it did not matter how black or dark the color of a person’s skin was; a person could have been the blackest on earth but if that person was a Muslim, then he was categorized as an Arab.
Conversely, if the person was not a Muslim, the color of a person’s skin could have been a lighter shade but that person was an African.
This was the basis, or the wedge that was driven through the Sudan.
Now, the wedge is being driven deeper.
The zionist Arabians from the UAE are fueling this zionist narrative.
Unfortunately, the zionist woven sectarian script that was used in Syria and Iraq that said “the Shi‘as were killing Sunnis” is now being re-used.
All that is required is that an average observer substitute the word Shi‘as with the word Muslims and the word Sunnis with the word Africans; and you have the new zionist woven script: The Muslims are killing Africans.
Another complicating insertion into this zionist inspired script relates to an imaginary race dynamic.
According to this zionist inspired fabrication, the script says that Africans were never really accepted as Muslims.
One just has to peruse the names of personalities held in high esteem around Allah’s Prophet, Muhammad (ﷺ) and throughout history to set the record straight.
One does not even have to think hard to recall towering personalities from the time of the Prophet: From Bilal the Abyssinian to contemporaries like Malik bin Nabi and Abdul Hamid ibn Badis from Algeria, or Hasan Al Turaby from the Sudan, or Ahmad Cassim from South Africa, or Hassan Al Banna and Syed Qutb from Egypt, or Uthman dan Fodio and Ibrahim Zakzaky from Nigeria, or Umar Mukhtar from Libya, among countless others who gave their lives for Allah and the freedom of the people of Africa.
That does not mean that there were never racist tendencies amongst some Muslims.
Those tendencies exist within the ranks of both the accuser and the accused.
It certainly has never been the norm in any Islamic society.
Then, the age old western/Oriental fabrication is also being added.
According to that fabrication, Africans were forced to accept Islam by the sword.
As a result of these fabrications and lies, it is to be expected that artificial tensions are going to rise wherever Muslims are a minority in sub-Saharan Africa.
The zionist-imperialist controlled media is going to play a huge role in “othering” Muslims throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
In all likelihood, their loyalty to Allah is going to be pitched against the expected loyalty: to the idol, Africa; not its oppressed people.
The loyalty of any Muslim, irrespective of their color, is going to increasing be called into question.
This may reach xenophobic levels and transcend into Islamophobic territory if one’s loyalty is to a part of North Africa or Saharan Africa.
Such loyalty simply won’t count.
The zionists have to normalize the land-to-nation identity narrative and weaponize it against their opponents.
Africa at the popular level still opposes Israhell because its people find common cause with the Palestinians, who are viewed as indigenous while the zionists are rightly seen as European colonial invaders.
It is this view that is the target of their conspiracy.
The zionists and imperialists could not care less about Africans or Arabs.
Both are expendable in the pursuit of Eretz Israel, viz. the greater Israel project to colonize the land from the Nile in Africa to the Euphrates in Iraq.
These zionists and imperialists would not lose a wink if millions of Africans and Arabs are sacrificed.
This dangerous and dirty zionist-imperialist game could turn really ugly if there are a few African Christian zionist demagogues or a few African pro-Israeli politicians with a microphone.
Muslims should, therefore, be vigilant and on the look out for those Muslim infiltrators who will increase tensions by amplifying racist rhetoric and then proceed to draw broad conclusions.
Suddenly, the atrocity in Phoenix could become a Muslim massacre of Africans.
The ever-lingering reality of another July 2021 could be repeated against the Muslims.
Zionist-imperialist diabolical intrigue knows no limits.
War crimes seen in Sabra and Shatilla or Srebrenica could even be on the cards, courtesy of zionist masterstrokes.
If the zionists and imperialists have their way, the Muslims (irrespective of doctrine, color, etc.) are going to be given the “anti-Shi‘i” treatment by the Africanists who are going to play the role that all the Sunni Defense Leagues played over the past 46 years.
This can be avoided if the oppressed people, Muslims and Africans, can get our act together.
“… All things does our Sustainer embrace with His knowledge; in Allah we place our trust. O our Sustainer! Advance the truth between us and our people – for you are the best of all to advance the truth!” (The Ascendant Qur’an, Surat Al A‘raaf, verse 89).
