Organizers of the Quds Day rally can be truly proud of their achievement in bringing out thousands of people onto the streets of Toronto for the annual Quds Day rally. Toronto has the proud tradition of hosting the largest rally in North America. This year was no exception despite the Pan Am Games that had resulted in many roads being closed.

An Iranian NGO has found a novel way to express solidarity with the oppressed and brutalized Palestinian people. A mass Iftar (breaking of fast) was organized at the Aqsa Compound on July 8 by the International Union of Unified Ummah. Despite attempts by the Zionists to prevent Palestinians from entering the Aqsa Compound, the Iftar went ahead and was a huge success.

Quds Day rallies are growing worldwide reflecting the deep concern among people of all faiths about Israeli injustices against the Palestinians. There is special concern about Zionist plans to undermine Masjid al Aqsa, the first qibla of Muslims. Despite the disruptive tactics of the takfiris, Quds Day rallies continue to attract huge public attention.
