The US and Saudi-backed regime in Bahrain continues to torture not only adults but also children. There is ample evidence about its horrible behaviour although it would be difficult to find much discussion of this in the Western media.

Muslims are supposed to be witnesses to Allah’s Greatness and flag-bearers of truth and justice.

Muslims have the Qur’an and the Sunnah and the Seerah of the noble Messenger (saws). They have everything they need to begin to live a life of dignity rather than fighting each other.

Libya is in a mess, thanks to the Western-trained and armed militias. The people continue to suffer but the West is not bothered. Their purpose was to destroy the country; they have succeeded in that.

With their policy in disarray over Syria, there is confusion and panic among the hordes of princes in Saudi Arabia. Based on recent statements and developments, there are clearly deep divisions on how to handle the fast changing situation. There are those (Bandar, for instance) that want to intensify interference in Syria while others want to cut their losses since they see the writing on the wall.

The US regime has turned into a monster. Its surveillance programs are so intrusive that they spare no one, even close allies. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has found this out as have the Spaniards. They are not amused but the issue has gone beyond amusement. They are furious at such betrayal. There will be consequences. The whistleblower, Edward Snowden, has meanwhile warned of the dangers in such a policy.

Instead doing what is logical and correct, the Saudi preachers give rulings that expose their lack of Islamic knowledge. On Friday a Saudi preacher claimed that women that drive cars will damage their ovaries and will develop complications when bearing children. He did not cite any scientific or medical study for his fantastic claim. Why don't they allow women to drive cars, as they do in almost every other country in the world?

Terrorism has never been a successful strategy. Its only consequence is suffering for ordinary people. This is what is happening in Syria. The terrorist groups, however, are now fighting each other because they are unable to dislodge the government of Bashar al-Asad. Their foreign masters--Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Jordan, the US, France, Britain and Israel, to name a few--have also realized that these terrorists cannot deliver.

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and US Secretary of State John Kerry met in New York to discuss ways of resolving the standoff about Iran's nuclear program. This was the first official meeting between Iran's foreign minister and his American counterpart in 34 years. While there has been much media hype about the meetings between officials of the two countries, it is yet to be seen whether any breakthrough will occur.

For the first time in 34 years, top officials from Iran will meet the Americans under the umbrella of the P5+1 talks over Iran's nuclear program. Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will meet US Secretary of State John Kerry in New York. Will this meeting lead to any meaningful progress on the nuclear issue? We will see after the meeting that is scheduled to begin at 4 pm.
