For three days last month, there was much pomp and ceremony in Riyadh, during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping. While a series of agreements were signed, there were two over-arching themes: eclipse of US influence and discovery by MbS of another ruler to provide him protection.

After the US’ humiliating defeat in Afghanistan, there was widespread belief that the Americans would leave Afghanistan alone. Far from it. They continue to meddle not only in Afghanistan by propping up discredited warlords, but also extending their mischief into Central Asia.

The collective west has some strange notions. It believes that its mores, especially those relating to sexual behavior, must be accepted by the rest of the world. Muslims have their own values derived from the Qur’an and they are working perfectly fine.

Mongolia is a tiny country in terms of population but its geographic location sandwiched between Russia and China gives it a commanding position. Both covet it for gas and oil pipelines as well as transportation corridors. The US-NATO combine wants to disrupt this.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been in power for more than 20 years. He assumes that Turkey cannot function without his wisdom guiding the country’s affairs. Empirical evidence proves otherwise. Erdogan’s foreign policy has been erratic and he has ruined the economy.
