The people of Arabia are governed by fear, a dull fear that seeps into every crack and crevice of daily life and makes one think twice about saying or doing anything to overturn the bad situation. One wrong move and one could end up in prison or worse.

The Saudi king and his amirs see the people “from above” — from their royal balcony — and know nothing of the daily experiences of the people below. King Salman should know that the people of Arabia are sick and tired of his autocratic rule. If he does not understand, he must have a mental block. He is old and sick!

Regarding Crown Prince Muham-mad bin Salman, the Economist in its issue of September 23, 2017 wrote, “For all his ambition, MbS has been noticeably vague on one issue: politics. Political parties are banned in Saudi Arabia and speech is restricted. He has shown no interest in changing that.” If he is going to act like his father and uncles, he is no good for the Muslims of Arabia.
