There are two faces of Israeli justice: a counterfeit and untrue face that is arranged only to play a part in Zionist media propaganda; and a real face that moves mainly in the dark when TV cameras are turned off.

The international media recently reported the ‘tough sentence’ given to an ultra-Orthodox Jew for vandalizing the apartment of two Christian women in Jerusalem. Aharon Kornblit was sentenced to a year and a half in prison for wrecking the apartment and burning its contents. Many newspapers reported the harshness of Israeli justice on its own residents who violate the rights of non-Jews in Israel. “The tough sentence imposed on Aharon Kornblit was aimed to send a message to anti-Christian elements in Israeli society”, Judge Ruth Or wrote in her decision.

This image could not be further from the truth. Even with all the powerful zionist media tools, and with the favoritism of the West, Israel’s racist and inhumane policies can never really be hidden. Israel’s racist agenda is a much larger problem than an angry Jewish crowd led by Mr. Kornblit. In fact, it is a set of policies inspired by legal and religious rulings which have been used systematically in Israel since its establishment more than 50 years ago. This can be easily seen by looking at just a couple of incidents in the few days around the above trial, which speak for themselves.

A letter signed by one Rabbi Amicha Rontsky appeared in an Israeli religious journal early in June, ruling against giving any medical attention to Arabs in particular, and non-Jews (Gentiles) generally, on the Jewish religious day, the Sabbath. In his letter, the Jewish Rabbi, who is also a Lieutenant Colonel and the deputy commander of a reserves infantry brigade, stated: “Of course the life of a Gentile has value--but the value of the Sabbath is more important.” The fresh ruling can only serve as a reminder of well known and documented facts about the religious perspectives and beliefs held by a large part of the Israeli society.

Another notable fact is that the Israeli army has either bulldozed or blown up at least 40 houses belong to Palestinians in East Jerusalem and the West Bank since the beginning of the year. This does not include the two latest demolished houses in the East Jerusalem neighborhoods of Shufat and Beit Hanina, on June 12, 1999, which predictably belonged to Palestinian Muslims. After investing all of his life savings and those of his sons, Muhammed Abu Khasir was finally able to build a suitable home in the Arab neighborhood of Shufat to secure his large family’s future.

Early one morning, a few days before they were due to move in, Abu Khasir’s family was informed by their neighbors, in the early morning, that their new house was surrounded by five large bulldozers accompanied by scores of Israeli soldiers. When Mohammed and his children arrived breathlessly at their new two-storey home, they found it levelled to the ground. Saddened and outraged, the family with a group of sympathetic neighbors protested the injustice of Israel and chanted, “Allah is greater than the aggressor”. Israeli soldiers rushed to silence the angry protesters who stood in front of the bulldozers that had almost completed their task.

A few hours later, when the job was done, the army unit left and the bulldozers dispersed, leaving behind a ruined dream and two young men critically wounded. Omar Abu Khasir was shot in the head by the soldiers for trying to stop “the progress of the operation”. Now Omar, who is a relative of the family, is hanging between life and death in a Jerusalem Hospital. Khasir abu Khasir, Mohammed’s oldest son, is lying with many broken bones and severe injuries after being viciously beaten by the Israeli soldiers over the ruins of his own house.

Talk about Israeli fairness is mere propaganda intended to lighten a very dark image of a country whose very existence is based on racism and piracy. The Israeli legal system needs to do far more that impose one worthless imprisonment sentence on one angry Jew to demonstrate any real change in its approach; the problem is that any meaningful change would lead to the dismantling of the entire State, for it was based from day one on the “holocaust of the Gentiles”.
