The Syrian army’s liberation of Dar‘a al-Balad (the province of Dar‘a) and the capital city by the same name on July 12 drove another nail in the coffin of US-Zionist-Saudi-backed takfiris. It was also highly symbolic. It was in Dar‘a that the foreign-backed fitnah first erupted in March 2011. The seeds of this fitnah were planted a month earlier in a Paris café. A meeting attended by American, Israeli, and Saudi officials with some Syrian opposition figures agreed on a conspiracy to launch an “uprising” from Dar‘a, a non-descript town whose utility was its close proximity to the Jordanian border to facilitate smuggling of arms and mercenaries.

It was also in Dar‘a that the blood curdling slogan, “‘Alawi ila al-tabut wa-al-Masihi ila Bayrut: Alawites to the coffin and Christians to Beirut” was first raised in 2011. It was a declaration of war against religious minorities in Syria who had lived quite peacefully for decades. Sectarianism was never an issue in Syria; the Wahhabis and their Western and Zionist masters imported it into Syria to divide people. Its consequences have been catastrophic: public beheadings, organ eating, and other barbaric practices were witnessed in a country that had hitherto fostered a largely peaceful coexistence. Most of the mayhem, mercifully, is now over.

The takfiris’ rout in the south was completed when the Syrian army raised the country’s flag in the city square. Not surprisingly, the Syrian news agency, SANA, exultantly reported on July 12, “Syrian army units enter Dar‘a al-Balad and raise the national flag in the main square.” The northern part of the city was already in government control; only the southern part close to the Jordanian border was left to liberate.

The Syrian army’s move into Dar‘a was preceded on July 11 by a deal with the takfiri terrorists. In exchange for handing over their heavy weapons, they were allowed safe passage to other parts of Syria where the terrorists still control some territory. Russian military police facilitated the deal. The government had struck similar deals elsewhere, most notably in Aleppo (December 2016) and east of Damascus (May 2018).

Dar‘a’s liberation has caused panic among external troublemakers, most notably the Zionists and Americans. The Najdi Bedouins have adopted a deathly silence; what else could they do when their demonic plot has been so thoroughly defeated?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu scurried to Moscow — his third visit in six months — to seek Vladimir Putin’s help in keeping the Iranians and Hizbullah away from the Israeli-colonized Golan Heights (of Syria). Netanyahu returned empty-handed although he continued to indulge in his customary criminal behavior by bombing Syrian military bases in Homs province, aided and abetted by the Americans. This is likely to prove a short-lived victory.

Dr. Ali Akbar Velayeti, advisor to the Rahbar, Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei of Iran was also in Moscow at the same time as Netanyahu. Dr. Velayati delivered the Rahbar’s special message to Putin. It is not difficult to surmise what the message might have contained. Islamic Iran and Russia have been partners, together with Hizbullah, in confronting the takfiri terrorists and ensuring their defeat in Syria. Zionist Israel has been one of their principal backers; they have also killed Russian soldiers and pilots.

Putin is keenly aware that had the takfiris succeeded in Syria, they would surely have moved into Russia as well since many takfiris are from Chechnya and other parts of the Caucasus.

The Americans on their part sent a message to President Bashar al-Asad of Syria informing him that if Iran and Hizbullah were to withdraw from Syria, the US would vacate al-Tanf on the border with Syria, Iraq, and Jordan, where it has established an illegal military base. Further, the US would also withdraw its forces from al-Hasakah and Dayr al-Zur regions, according to a senior Syrian official in Damascus. It would be clear to those familiar with the seven-year-long mayhem in Syria that Washington warlords and their allies are no longer talking about regime change in Damascus.

The Syrian source further revealed, “President al-Asad was very clear in his response to the US establishment. Syria is determined to liberate the entire Syrian territory regardless of the consequences. There is of course a price to be paid to obtain the liberation of north Syria which is occupied by both the US and Turkey, neither of whom were invited by the Syrian government: this price is worth it.”

To the US demand that Iran and Hizbullah must withdraw from Syria, al-Asad said, “Iranian forces and their allies came to Syria under an official request by the central government and will leave when this government asks the allied forces to leave, and only when all terrorists have been eradicated from the Levant.” In other words, Syria will not acquiesce to US-Israeli demands.

“You [Americans],” said al-Asad, “came to Syria without any permission and occupied our territory. It is, therefore, our duty to push you out by all means. You shall not obtain by negotiation and peace what you failed to obtain after seven years of war.” In other words, al-Asad told the Americans to get lost.

It is, however, the grief in Tel Aviv that is most noticeable. Gone is the arrogance of the Zionists threatening fire and fury against opponents if they do not comply with their demands. The Arabian rulers have already surrendered to the Zionists but the Resistance Front comprising Islamic Iran, Hizbullah, Syria, Iraq, Hamas, and Islamic Jihad, is standing firm.

The Syrian army and Hizbullah, aided by Iranian advisors have not only moved into the south of Syria but have also surrounded the takfiri terrorists in al-Qunaytrah confining them to an area of 18 km2. Once done with them, these battle-hardened fighters will face the Zionist colonizers from al-Naqurah in Lebanon to the illegally colonized Syrian Golan Heights.

It is also interesting to note that the Syrian government has called upon all Syrians that were forced to flee from Dar‘a to return home. Damascus also called upon international organizations to help facilitate their return. On the other side, Western regimes are scrambling to save their favorite mercenaries, aka White Helmets. Now if this were truly a civilian outfit there to help Syrians, why would it want to flee the country?

The Zionists’ customary arrogance has also been deflated. In the past they frequently beat up incompetent, ill-motivated soldiers of Arabian armies. With Hizbullah and Islamic Iran, it is a different story. Now the Zionists are trembling in fear.
