Muslims must take control of their own destiny if they want to make progress in the world and end their current plight.

I agree with Br. Abdul Rahman Razzak when he says that Muslims must take charge of their own destiny if they want to make progress in the world (Letters, Dec. 2014). The starting point on this journey of redemption is clarity of thought. Muslims often confuse change of faces with change itself. In most instances, even change is not permitted as in Saudi Arabia and other dictatorial regimes. Unless the imposed systems are dismantled, no meaningful change is possible.
