Millions of Syrians have been turned into refugees living in horrible conditions in camps in Jordan, Turkey, and Lebanon. While some have trekked to Europe or risked their lives in rickety boats, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar have refused to offer them shelter. Distant Canada has pledged to take in 25,000 refugees most of whom have already arrived. By the end of year, this figure may reach 50,000. Canadians from all walks of life have opened their hearts and wallets to welcome the refugees. Muslims have been in the forefront of such efforts.
