Palestinians are the longest suffering people in the world. The Zionists have stolen their land; robbed them of their dignity and subjected them to daily humiliations. Both the Zionist occupation army and the illegal Zionist squatters indulge in these barbaric practices. Military checkpoints are a regular feature of life on the West Bank as is the apartheid wall, which has been declared illegal even by the International Court of Justice.

There are more than 5,000 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli jails. These include hundreds of women and children. Heavily armed Zionist soldiers and illegal squatters attack, beat up and drag Palestinian women and children on a daily basis. Their meager agricultural produce is deliberately destroyed so that Palestinians are reduced to begging for handouts from abroad.

At a time when so much else is happening worldwide, the plight of the Palestinian people has been virtually forgotten. We cannot expect much from the compliant corporate-owned Western media but unfortunately many Muslim media outlets have also not paid adequate attention to their suffering.
