The US military-industrial-banking complex and its political agents have no permanent friends, only permanent interests. They will use anybody, including people that they call friends to achieve their nefarious agenda, as is becoming apparent in how so-called "moderate Sunni" Muslims are being used to advance the US agenda against the takfiris, the very creation of America!

On February 19, 2015, the New York Times published an article titled “U.S. Muslims Take on ISIS Recruiting Machine.” The article began with a complimentary portrait of Imam Mohamed Magid of the ADAMS Center in Virginia, described as a “scholar bursting with charm and authority.” Magid describes how he has been counseling various Muslim Americans who are being courted and seduced by ISIS recruiters online to join the nefarious organization that is in process of destroying the Muslim world.

While indeed, the effort needs to be made in order to put a stop to ISIS’s rampage in the Middle East, the fact remains that ISIS is closely linked with US and Israeli intelligence organizations that are using it in order to ignite sectarian war in the Muslim world and bring down governments that do not coordinate with their interests.

The article also coincided with Barack Obama’s address on February 18 at a summit convened to counter violent extremism. He called on the officials and representatives of more than 60 countries to join the US war against ISIS. “We are not at war with Islam,” he declared. "We are at war with people who have perverted Islam," he said, adding later that Muslim leaders "need to do more to discredit the notion that our nations are determined to suppress Islam."

“We are not at war with Islam,” he declared. "We are at war with people who have perverted Islam,"

The New York Times article name-dropped various high profile “Sunni” Muslim scholars and activists in the United States, including Imam Suhail Webb and Maged. These figures are in many ways “the face” of American Islam, calling for Muslim Americans to embrace both Sunni traditional madh-hab and mainstream American identities.

They are popular speakers on the MSA circuit and at the various youth camps and summits organized by second-generation Muslim American youth who are the children of immigrants from the Muslim world in the 1960s and 1970s. It the same “Sunni” Muslim network that is now been called upon by the US government to join its fight against ISIS.

Muslim Americans are feeling increasingly threatened in the United States, especially after the Chapel Hill shootings of three young Muslim Americans. This co-opting of high profile Muslim Americans are proceeding even as the US has stepped up its efforts to spread informers throughout mosques in the US to entrap young Muslim Americans in illegal activities leading to highly publicized trials. It displays bad faith to use Muslim American figures to enjoin surveillance on their own communities, in order to stop the spread of an ISIS being funded by US and Saudi wealth.

It also proves the fact that the US establishment only uses and abuses people for its own nefarious agenda and then discard them. It is a pity that people, especially Muslims are willing to be used in such manner.
