The first Qibla of Muslims is under Zionist threat but both the Muslim regimes as well as committed Muslims seem to be largely unconcerned.

While Muslims are consumed by such manufactured crises as those in Syria, Iraq and Pakistan, to name a few places, the Zionists are busy tightening their grip on al-Masjid al-Aqsa and Haram al-Sharif. Zionist intrusions into the holy precincts have intensified in recent weeks. The pattern has become familiar: armed Zionist settlers storm Haram al-Sharif aided and protected by heavily armed Israeli soldiers. When Palestinians resist such illegal intrusions, they are attacked and humiliated.

Defence of al-Masjid al-Aqsa is not only the responsibility of the Palestinians, although they have to bear the brunt of Zionist crimes; Muslims elsewhere too must shoulder their responsibility with vigor. They must raise their voices against such criminal behavior; join peace and justice-loving people in the world to draw attention to these atrocities and make it clear that Zionist usurpation will not be tolerated.

While we cannot expect much from the cowardly regimes in the Muslim East, ordinary Muslims cannot ignore this very serious challenge of Zionist usurpation of the first qiblah of Muslims.
