Almost back-to-back meetings between Iranian officials and their Chinese and Russian counterparts provide a solid foundation for confronting US and its allies’ belligerence, threats and sanctions. There is a convergence of views on neutralizing Washington’s destructive policies

This month, Iran celebrates 43 years of the Islamic Revolution. Despite a vicious campaign of assassinations, sabotage, an Iraqi-imposed war and illegal sanctions by the US, Islamic Iran has taken great strides in all fields including science, stem-cell research and space.

The meeting led to the appointment of Abu Bakr as Khalifah of the Muslims to avert chaos. Unfortunately, sectarians (both Sunnis and Shi‘is) have turned this into a contentious issue. It shouldn’t be.

Iran and Syria have moved quickly to the reconstruction phase of Syria’s badly damaged infrastructure in which Islamic Iran will play a major role. While Saudi crown prince Muhammad bin Salman (MbS) has used brutal methods including killings, imprisonment and torture to eliminate all rivals (real and imagined), to grab power, his ascension to the Saudi throne is not guaranteed. There are other contenders that are likely to challenge him.
