The coronavirus is spreading rapidly in India making it the epicenter of the global pandemic. Most people hold Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly responsible for the crisis by his irresponsible conduct and policies. He has also lost support among the people.

Netanyahu is a ruthlessly cynical politician. Facing criminal charges that are likely to land him in prison, he decided to unleash the war on Gaza killing hundreds of innocent people in order to cling to power. Even his murderous spree is unlikely to save his hide.

The Saudi war on Yemen is getting nowhere. The poorly-trained Saudi soldiers have been surrendering to Yemen’s Ansarallah fighters to save themselves. The Saudi regime has started executing its own soldiers accusing them of treason. This is a sure sign of defeat.

The balance of economic and political power has shifted radically toward the Eurasia landmass. The engines for this change are China and Russia but there are also other players, notably Iran that are playing an important role. Bye bye, US imperialism!

The illegal prison at Guantanamo Bay represents the ugly nature of the US. Of the 700 prisoners kept there at its peak, only 40 are left. Saifullah Paracha, 73, is the oldest prison who has been cleared for release but it is not certain when he might return home to his native Pakistan.
