Muslims are generally the most generous and altruistic people on earth.
Their generosity and altruism, however, is often accompanied by naiveté, or laziness when it comes to doing simple due diligence, or both.
Since October 7, 2023 there has been lots of unwelcome support for Palestine.
A number of business people have climbed the bandwagon and hosted “to be paid for” events such as “Padel for Palestine”, “Cycle for Palestine”, “Cake sale for Palestine”, “flea-market for Palestine”, “Kites for Palestine”, “Balloons for Palestine”, “Flags for Palestine”… ad nauseam.
Scant, if any, of these proceeds are destined for Palestine.
Added to that group is another layer of fly-by-night humanitarian NGOs that have recently set-up shop to collect funds in the name of Palestine.
They have no qualms about abusing the suffering of the Palestinians for their own nefarious ends.
At the next level are the advocacy groups, some of which have been around for enough time to have prima facie a credible presence.
Some of these have been involved in numerous causes related to social justice including the struggle for Palestine.
With the passage of time some of them have also become corrupted, seeking name and fame or have other political and/or career ambitions.
Collecting funds in the name of Palestine, which are then diverted to local campaigns, the opening/running of local office(s), often near Yahudi neighborhoods, and the diversion of donor funds to family businesses are some characteristics of their modus operandi.
At the very least, such machinations pose a conflict of interest; and in the worst instance they deprive Palestinians of funds that had been collected in their name.
At the pre-apex level is the NGO-Humanitarian complex.
These comprise multi-national NGO’s who are beholden to funding from a mixture of individual donors and corporate funding.
Their existence and ability to operate is linked with being affiliated to the powers that be.
At the apex level, (plugged into the United Nations), is the nation-state.
They comprise the frontline bordering states and those directly involved in the conflict.
In the context of Palestine there is the Islamic Movement as well as unsavory formations such as the Palestinian Authority who are the sentry and security guards of the Israeli genocidists.
Currently, Gaza is under siege.
Individuals cannot enter.
It is even more difficult for people from Gaza to exit and once out, it is virtually impossible for them to return.
A similar situation is developing in the West Bank where entry and exit is getting difficult.
People may enter and exit provided they are not on the genocidal Israeli nation-state’s watch-list.
With this overview of the landscape it is critical that donors ask discerning questions and make the correct choices to ensure that their funds are not usurped or, worse still, channeled to enemy agents.
Currently, at the pre-apex and apex level, billions of dollars are collected by humanitarian NGO-government complex.
These funds are, ostensibly, used marginally for cash disbursements and mostly for in-kind distributions.
After the siege of Gaza, a preferred channel had been to transfer cash via Jordan.
However, the Jordanian regime has clamped down hard on the hawala traders resulting in that channel being virtually closed.
On the Israeli controlled Egyptian side of the Palestine border, i.e. the Rafah Crossing, trucks spanning a distance of up to 40 miles have been lined up, bumper to bumper since October 2023.
Most, if not all, the food supplies in the trucks have rotted and wasted away.
Similar has been the eventuality of medical supplies.
By the time the trucks queued up at the Rafah Crossing reach the frontline, the goods would also have perished.
Compounding the situation are the goons appointed by Sisi to clear the containers before dispatch into Gaza.
Accounts from the ground suggest that corrupt officials on the Egyptian side of the Rafah Crossing demand payment of between $10,000 and $35,000 prior to release of a container destined for Gaza.
Thereafter, the next ordeal begins at the Israeli Nitzana check-point.
It is a logistical nightmare involving multiple scans, return to Rafah for cross-loading, etc.
Thereafter, if/when a container is finally cleared Israeli drones give air cover to their ISIS affiliates who loot the trucks to ensure that the people of Gaza receive nothing.
While this is the reality, billions of dollars have been and continue to be collected world-wide, ostensibly for Palestine, and more particularly for Gaza.
It is, therefore, incumbent on donors to conduct simple due diligence.
When donating, donors should not be deceived by big humanitarian organizations with popular brands.
They should boldly ask the following minimum questions:
1: Is the collection for Palestine or Gaza? If it is for Gaza then they should ask who will ensure that it reaches the people of Gaza and how.
2: If it is for Palestine in general, donors should ask who in Palestine will be the recipients? Unfortunately, most cash is handed over to the corrupt Palestinian Authority and its affiliates who are part of the problem.
3: Donors must ask for official receipts to be issued, even if they wish to remain anonymous. It is an established fact that not all big humanitarian organizations with popular brands produce audited financial statements, and those who have audited financial statements have qualified opinions i.e. there are issues; or adverse opinions i.e. there are significant misstatements and the financial statements are unreliable; or disclaimer of opinions i.e. lack of evidence to express an/any opinion.
Based on accounts from the ground, considering the recent depreciation of the Jordanian dinar vis-à-vis the Israeli new shekel and the costs associated therewith, the most reliable channels to ensure that cash reaches the people of Palestine is via hand to hand with a known recipient.
This does not include the Gaza Strip, which is completely blockaded due to the siege.
One final comment pertains to a new layer of criminal Palestinian syndicates that have cropped up.
They are present online and in flesh.
Online they take photos with orphans and children and appeal for crowd funding.
Not surprisingly, their sponsors in certain western countries bear Jewish names!
In flesh, they appeal to the emotions of Muslims with sob stories.
With all of the above being said, Muslims are called upon to be exceptionally generous after conducting the necessary due diligence.
Muslims are also called upon to realize that a strategic solution requires eradication of the zionist Israeli cancer.
Bitter experience has proved that it cannot be eradicated through humanitarian efforts and that every cent spent/wasted on strictly “humanitarian” efforts constitutes a cent taken away from the Islamic Resistance.
