Islamic resistance inflicts crushing defeat on Zionist Israel

Despite killing hundreds of innocent civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip, Zionist Israel was forced to accept an unconditional ceasefire following its defeat by the Islamic resistance (Hamas and Islamic Jihad).

The Israeli Political Security Cabinet issued a terse statement saying it had “unanimously accepted the recommendation” for a ceasefire.

“The political echelon emphasizes that the reality on the ground will determine the continuation of the campaign,” it added.

The Egyptian-brokered ceasefire began early on Friday (2:00 am local time; 9:00 pm DC time).

It brought to an end 11 days of Zionist bombardment of the besieged enclave in which the Zionists murdered more than 240 civilians. It included 66 children and 43 women in Gaza.

If it were a contest of killing civilians, the Zionists would have won hands down.

That is what they do best. But the Zionist war criminals failed to achieve any of their military or political objectives.

Instead, their latest bout of bloodletting of innocents has only exposed serious weaknesses in the illegal Zionist entity.

Palestinians poured onto the streets of Gaza soon after the ceasefire went into effect, shouting, Allahu Akbar (Allah is the greatest) and Alhamdulillah (thanks to Allah).

Mosques in Gaza declared “victory of the resistance achieved over the Occupation during the ‘Sword of Jerusalem’ battle.”

This was a reference to Hamas’ demand of May 10 to the Zionist regime to withdraw its forces from the Masjid al Aqsa compound.

It also demanded the release all Palestinian prisoners and abandon the illegal eviction of Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah.

While Palestinian prisoners have not been released, there is little doubt that Zionist marauders have been forced to retreat from the noble Sanctuary.

Soon after the ceasefire announcement, fireworks lighted the sky over Al Quds (Jerusalem), celebrating victory.

By its bold stand, the Islamic resistance movement Hamas has emerged as the voice of all Palestinian people.

It took a clear stand on the sanctity of Masjid al Aqsa and warned the Zionist regime to pull its attack dogs from Sheikh Jarrah.

The silence of US-Israeli-backed leaders of the Palestinian Authority has exposed them as never before.

The Palestinians’ victory was also evident from the fact that there were no celebrations in Israel.

It clearly showed who had won, despite the vast disparities in weapons.

Whether the ceasefire holds or is broken, one fact has been firmly established: the Zionist regime’s days are numbered.

The racist ideology of Zionism will also have to go if there is ever to be peace in the holy land.

The sacrifices of the innocent Palestinians martyrs will not go in vain.
