The zionists cannot do anything wrong. Western rulers are there to defend them regardless of the level of brutality they indulge in. This is once again evident in the zionist onslaught on Gaza. Western rulers, reading from the same script, say Israel has the “right to defend itself.” Palestinian men, women and children do not matter.

From Barack Obama down to the kangaroo rulers of Australia, all are parroting the same line: “Israel has the right to defend itself” as it pummels the tiny Gaza strip with US supplied missiles and bombs.

The murder-rate so far is more than 100 Palestinians killed, almost all of them women and children while no Israeli, civilian or military, has been killed. So how is Israel defending itself?

The Western rulers’ identical statement about Israel’s “right to defend itself” has been uttered by David Cameron of Britain, Angela Merkel of Germany, UN Secretary General Ban Ki moon as well as Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird, among others.

There is not even a hint that the Palestinians may have a right not only to defend themselves but also to retaliate against their tormentors’ crimes.

Take for instance Obama’s statement. He said no state would stand rocket attacks on its territory. Really? Obama has carried out hundreds of illegal drone strikes against civilians in Pakistan, Somalia, Yemen and a number of other places.

What gives Obama the right to carry out such criminal acts and then wax eloquent about Israel’s right to defend itself?

The Zionist claim that it is retaliating for Hamas rockets is a complete lie. The illegitimate zionist regime had launched attacks against Gaza and Hamas officials even before the latest tit-for-tat.

Zionist crimes escalated when three Israel squatters went missing on the West Bank on June 12 and their bodies were “found” two weeks later. These squatters had no business being in the West Bank.

Besides, a number of Israeli newspapers have reported and also confirmed by Max Blumenthal that Israel knew from day one after the squatters disappeared that they were dead. Yet, the Zionist regime whipped up mass hysteria against the Palestinians, especially Hamas in order to attack Gaza.

During the two week period, at least 10 Palestinians among them 7-year-old and 15-year-old boys were also killed. More than 600 Palestinians were arrested and have been held illegally ever since. Dozens of Palestinian homes have been demolished.

When the three squatters’ bodies were “discovered” in a shallow grave two weeks later, they were remarkably fresh, according to one of the rabbis attending their funeral. How could two week-old bodies remain completely intact and not decompose?

Media reports have suggested that the bodies were recovered by the zionist regime the day they were killed and kept in a freezer to be used after anti-Palestinian mass hysteria had been whipped up. This was done to create a pretext for attacking Gaza, almost like Israel’s two-year itch.

Even the UN human rights office has been moved to condemn the Zionist regime for violating the laws of war by bombing Palestinian homes in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Ravina Shamdasani, a spokeswoman for the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, described reports about the increasing number of Palestinian casualties especially children as disturbing.

She added that targeting houses is a breach of human rights law.

“We have received disturbing reports that many of the civilian casualties, including of children, occurred as a result of strikes on homes,” Shamdasani said, adding, “Such reports raise doubts about whether the Israeli airstrikes have been in accordance with international humanitarian law and international human rights law.”

At least 107 Palestinians have been killed so far in Israel's relentless bombings.

Earlier today (July 11), three Palestinians, including a child, were killed in the northern towns of Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahiya.

Israeli warplanes and drones have pounded more than 600 targets across the Mediterranean enclave since Tuesday. Informed sources say women and children account for a third of the Palestinian victims.
