Pakistan has been gripped political crisis since August 14. Does it pose a serious challenge to Nawaz Sharif who is accused his opponents of rigging the May 2013 elections to get into power?

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has rejected appeals from doctors and politicians to allow Palestinian children wounded in Israel’s brutal assault on Gaza, to get treatment in Canada. Harper is a staunch ally of Israel.

In a terse statement that must have deeply disappointed the beleaguered Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the army expressed its “concern” about the escalating political violence. It also said force was not the way to deal with the situation. The crisis must be dealt with through political means. Sharif is under pressure to resign; how much longer can he hold out in these circumstances?

Nawaz Sharif, Pakistani Prime Minister-under-siege, has been forced to beg the army chief, General Raheel Sharif (no relation) to rescue him. Pakistan Tehrik-e Insaf led by Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehrik led by Tahirul Qadri are both demanding his resignation, Imran more forcefully than Qadri. The next 24 hours may prove crucial for Pakistan.

The Islamic resistance has dealt a stunning blow to Zionist Israel in Gaza. Despite lacking weapons and bottled up in the tiny enclave, the Islamic resistance forced the zionists to accept their terms for a truce. In a long list of war crimes, the zionist regime perpetrated another one by firing two missiles from US-supplied warplanes on a 12-storey apartment building in Gaza. There were 44 apartments in the block that came crashing down. Massive damage was caused to neighboring buildings as well.

Armed agent provocateurs attack Masjid al-Islam in California and violently assault Imam Abdul Alim Musa. Muslims worldwide need to contact him and offer immediate support.
